1948, 3¢ Will Rogers, Violet, United States (Scott #975)
$40.00
This stamp was issued in 1948 to honor Will Rogers (1879–1935), the beloved American humorist, actor, and social commentator. Released on the anniversary of his birth, it commemorates his significant contributions to American culture and features his famous quote: "I never met a man I didn't like." This is a genuine specimen of the 1948 commemorative issue. As Scott #975 was printed in large quantities and this copy is used, it holds standard collector value rather than premium philatelic value.
